The Operations Manager apprenticeship is a Level 5 programme - equivalent to a foundation degree!


We work to customise the programme around your values and what matters most to you, whilst ensuring your people are working towards the apprenticeship standard. We want to know what you like to see and will deliver how you want us to.


Duration

16 months - this timeframe gives you the opportunity to complete all learning and complete functional skills (if required).

Entry Requirements

You will need to be eligible to work in the UK, and spend at least 50% of your working hours in England.

Chartered Manager Status

On completion of your Operations Manager apprenticeship, you will gain Chartered Manager Status through CMI  - this is the highest leadership and management status that you can achieve in the profession.

CMI professional body membership

We offer the opportunity to gain professional body membership with CMI for the course of your apprenticeship and for 3 months after you complete - giving you access to thought leadership, networks and support materials to accelerate your learning and career development.

It requires extra energy and commitment from you to complete this alongside your apprenticeship – but the sky's the limit if you choose to.

End-Point Assessment

Following all your hard work over your 16-month apprenticeship journey, you, your line manager and your dedicated workplace coach will decide if you have met the required skills, knowledge and behaviours and are ready to enter End-Point Assessment. At this point, you will have up to three months to complete your End-Point Assessment. 

Business project

You will compose a 4,000-word business project to look at an idea, opportunity or challenge in the business e.g. changes to improve efficiency or service improvement.

Portfolio of skills evidence

Typically this will consist of 20 pieces of evidence that showcase the knowledge, skills and behaviours gained in your workplace throughout your apprenticeship.

20-minute presentation

You will conduct a 20-minute presentation (using visual media/aids) on your business project to an independent assessor, followed by a 40-minute question and answer session.

60-minute professional discussion

You will finally take part in a 60-minute professional discussion with an independent assessor about your portfolio of evidence for them to confirm your level of competence against the Operations Manager skills, knowledge and behaviours
