The IWFM Level 3 qualifications in Facilities Management are designed for experienced professionals looking to deepen their expertise in facilities management, develop strategic skills, and advance into senior management roles within the industry.

The IWFM Level 3 Diploma in Facilities Management consists of five mandatory units (26 credits) plus additional optional units to achieve a minimum of 48 credits in total.

Workshop 1

Introduction to facilities management

Understand the definition of facilities management, its role within organisations, and how it can be set up in ways that will help the organisation to function more effectively

Workshop 2

Corporate social responsibility and sustainability in facilities management

Understand the definition of corporate social responsibility and sustainability; and the contribution that can be made by facilities management

Workshop 3

Customer and stakeholder relations in facilities management

Understand how to ensure that the customers and other stakeholders have a continuing role in evaluation

Workshop 4

Specification and procurement of facilities supplies and services

Understand all the stages of procurement, which necessarily include liaison with customers and other stakeholders

Workshop 5

Health and safety responsibilities in facilities management

Understand the lines of responsibility for health and safety in facilities management, and how those responsibilities can be discharged

Project management within facilities management operations (optional unit)

Understand the project management of operational changes

The IWFM Level 3 Certificate in Facilities Management consists of four mandatory units (21 credits) plus additional optional units to achieve a minimum of 28 credits in total.

Understand the definition of corporate social responsibility and sustainability; and the contribution that can be made by facilities management

How will this be assessed?

This qualification will be assessed by Assignments/Personal development plan & Leadership assessment and evalution.

How do i get funding?

You may be eligible for an advanced learner loan if you are aged 19 or over, and do not hold an existing level 3 qualification (or above).

Getting an advanced learner loan doesn’t depend on your household income or your employment status, and there is no credit check. You won’t have to pay anything back until you are earning more than £25,000 per year (before tax and other deductions).

Advanced learner loans are suitable for anyone who:

  • Is aged 19 or above at the start of the programmes
  • Is studying for an eligible course at level 3, 4, 5 or 6 in education or training
  • Fulfils residency criteria

This course is also available without a learner loan and you can pay over 9 monthly instalments (1 x£226 plus 8 x £220)
