What it is

In memory of Oliver, built for safer and more inclusive support

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is the Government’s preferred and recommended training programme for health and social care staff. It was developed to improve understanding of learning disability and autism, helping organisations provide safer, more personalised and more inclusive support.

The training is named in memory of Oliver McGowan, whose experiences highlighted the importance of ensuring staff have the knowledge and confidence to meet individual needs.

At Learnmore, our approved Tier 1 trainers deliver engaging, interactive webinars that help organisations develop awareness, improve communication, and understand the practical adjustments that can make a meaningful difference for autistic people and people with a learning disability. We have certified facilitators and certified lived-autism experts who are qualified to support delivery of Oliver McGowan training.
