Bespoke sounds like a big commitment. Custom designed, built around your organisation, shaped to your culture. It is easy to imagine months of workshops with consultants before anyone learns anything.
The reality is more straightforward, and we think the best way to show that is to walk through the whole process, all five stages, exactly as it works. No mystery, no surprises, and a clear starting price at the end.
Stage one, the discovery call
Every programme starts with a conversation, and in the first one we mostly listen. We want to understand the challenges behind the training request, the scenarios your managers face, what success would look like, and who the learners actually are. You do not need a polished brief, half formed thoughts are welcome, drawing out the real need is our job. There is no obligation at this stage and no pressure afterwards. Some discovery calls end with us recommending one of our accredited courses instead, an ILM or IWFM qualification is often the better fit when the need is a recognised skill or a professional credential, and our guide to choosing between bespoke and off the shelf training explains when each makes sense
Stage two, course design
This is where your scenarios become your programme. We design content tailored to your needs, built around the situations you described rather than textbook case studies. We design across the full range of management ground, understanding leadership styles, difficult conversations, managing absences, change management, managing grievances, project management, neurodiversity, time management, understanding accidental managers, Women in Leadership and more. Whether you need a single focused workshop or a full programme, the design follows your need, not a template.
Stage three, the client review
You see everything before anyone else does. We walk you through the programme, and you review and refine it with us until it is exactly right. If an example does not ring true, we change it. If a module matters more than we realised, it grows. This stage exists because you know your organisation better than we ever will, and the programme is better for it.
Stage four, the official launch
Your people join the workshop sessions. Our trainers bring real world experience and know how to create learning that sticks, and because the content was built from your scenarios, nobody spends the day translating generic examples into their own reality. The material sounds like their working life, because it is.
Stage five, the final review
When the workshops are done, we assess outcomes and impact together, against success measures we agreed at the start. This is the stage most training skips, and it is the one that turns a course into evidence. Independent research backs the value of measuring, Harris Interactive research for ILM found that 78% of employers who invest in ILM qualifications see a return on investment within one year, and returns concentrate where training is aligned to a strategic priority, an argument we set out in the ROI of tailored learning.
Who we have built for
We have delivered bespoke programmes for organisations including Impact Food Group, Mitie, Go Ahead London, Southeastern and Fuller’s. The Wolseley Hospitality Group described their programme as shaped around their goals and values from the outset, progressive, inclusive and genuinely inspiring for participants, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from the team and a lasting impact. That is the standard every design is held to, and it started the same way yours would, with listening.
What it costs
A course comprising six half-day online workshops starts from £4,140 plus VAT. The final investment depends on your requirements, and you get a clear proposal after the discovery conversation, so you know exactly what you are committing to before you commit to anything.
Step one is just a conversation
That is the whole process. Five stages, starting with a call where we listen and ending with a review where we measure. Tailored learning at the front, lasting impact at the end. If your organisation is facing a challenge no standard course quite fits, the first step costs nothing.
