Ask FM professionals why they have not got a formal qualification yet and the answer is almost never doubt about the value. It is time. Months of study around a full-time role is a real commitment, and there is always a busy quarter that pushes it back. So, we offer a route that asks for one week, and the next one is open for booking now.
What it is?
The IWFM Award in a Week is exactly what the name says. In five days you complete a regulated, IWFM Award at Level 4, 5 or 6. An Award is the smallest size of IWFM qualification, the same family as a Certificate or Diploma, just fewer units, which is what makes the timescale possible. This is not a taster day or an attendance certificate. You finish with a regulated qualification that carries the IWFM’s name, and IWFM membership comes with it, free until you complete your course, for a maximum of two years.
How the week runs
Monday to Thursday, your mornings are remote workshops from 10am to 1pm, led by a practitioner who has done the FM job. Your afternoons, and Friday, are for your assignments, with 1:1 coaching support as you work. The whole week comes to around 35 hours, and because everything is remote, there is no travel and no classroom.
Assessment follows the same principle as every IWFM qualification we deliver. Work-based assignments, no exams. At Levels 4 and 5 you complete two pieces, at Level 6 one, and because they are work-based, you are applying the learning to your own building, contracts and team as you go. No waiting months for a result.
Which level is yours
- Level 4, at £1,900 plus VAT, suits team leaders and supervisors moving into management, the point where the credential needs to catch up with the responsibility.
- Level 5, at £2,200 plus VAT, is for senior FM professionals stepping into Head of FM roles.
- Level 6, at £2,400 plus VAT, is for experienced managers working at strategic level. The same rule applies here as everywhere in the IWFM framework, you enter at the level that matches your experience, not at the bottom of a ladder.
Is a week really enough
An honest question deserves an honest answer. An Award is the focused route, not the comprehensive one. If you want the full breadth of a level, a Certificate or Diploma is still the right choice, and most of our learners complete a Certificate in 7 to 9 months. What the Award in a Week gives you is a real, regulated credential in the time you can actually commit, and a foundation you can build on. Plenty of learners treat it as a stepping stone, complete the Award now, then progress to a Certificate or Diploma when the diary allows.
What you walk away with
An IWFM accredited Award at your level, IWFM membership, a week of learning applied directly to your own role, and the thing our learners mention more than anything else. 98% of our learners say they feel more confident in their role after training with us, and 75% are promoted or take on greater responsibility after completing their qualification.
Dates and booking
The 1:1 coaching only works with small groups, so every running is limited by design, and the current Level 6 cohort is nearly full. Register by 27 November 2026 to secure your Level 6 place, with only a few spaces left. Levels 4 and 5 are open for booking too, and we will confirm your week when you enrol.
Book a call, call us on 0800 111 4992, or email hello@learnmoreuk.com. Whether you want to pick up the phone or drop us an email, we will let you decide. And if you are torn between the week and a fuller qualification, say so on the call and we will give you an honest answer either way.
